Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

TileTable is a social platform for the mahjong community in New York City. This policy explains what information we collect through our waitlist form, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We believe in being straightforward — no fine print surprises.

What We Collect

When you join the TileTable waitlist, we ask for five things:

Field Required Why we ask
First and last name Yes So we can address you like a person, not a number
Email address Yes Our primary way to reach you with launch updates
Zip code Yes To match you with mahjong games and classes near you in NYC
Need to learn mahjong? Yes To understand whether you're a beginner or experienced player, so we can tailor your experience at launch
Notes No A space for you to tell us anything — what you're looking for, what excites you, questions you have

That's it. We don't collect payment information, browsing data, or anything beyond what's listed above.

Why We Collect It

Your information helps us do three things:

  1. Personalize your launch experience. When TileTable goes live, we want to connect you with the right games, classes, and community for your skill level and neighborhood.
  2. Match you locally. Your zip code lets us show you what's happening near you — not across the entire city.
  3. Send you launch updates. We'll email you when TileTable is ready and when there's meaningful news to share.

How It's Stored

Your waitlist data is stored securely through our form service provider. We use standard security practices to protect your information from unauthorized access.

Who Has Access

Only the TileTable team. We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties. Full stop.

Email Communication

We'll send you updates about TileTable's launch and development. That's it. No spam, no selling your email to marketers, no surprise newsletters about things you didn't sign up for.

Every email we send will include an easy way to unsubscribe. If you opt out, we'll stop emailing you.

Your Rights

You can request that we delete your waitlist data at any time. Just email us and we'll remove your information — no hoops, no waiting periods.

Changes to This Policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll let you know via email. We won't quietly rewrite the rules.
